A segment that contains a manager's name in the title relates to the group of employees reporting (directly or indirectly) into the manager.
After each survey round, Peakon recalculates the segments that display in the highlighted segments section of the dashboard. The main score of these segments is significantly above or below the benchmark, so they're either doing great or need improvement.
The segment doesn't contain the manager's own scores, because they can't report into themselves on Peakon. The manager's own scores will instead be part of the segment of the manager that they report into.
Background
One of the attributes that organizations typically use is Manager, which is an employee-type attribute, so you can use it to create reporting lines. Other examples of employee-type attributes can include Line Manager, Project Manager, Human Resources Business Partner.
The attribute uses manager names to collect employees into groups by manager reporting lines.
As a result, each employee has a Manager drop down menu on their employee record, containing a list of all manager names. Employees who have the same manager belong to the same manager segment.
Peakon uses this naming convention for manager segments:
- First Name Last Name (Direct Reports).
- First Name Last Name (All Reports).
