Prerequisites
Security: Manage schedules.
Context
You can enable kiosk mode as a survey channel for employees who don't have an email address on their employee record. It's possible to have 1 schedule with multiple survey channels. Example: email, kiosk mode, SMS. You can also disable email and SMS to have a kiosk-only survey.
See About Kiosk mode and how it works for more information.
Steps
- Go to Administration > Schedules.
- Click View on the survey that you need to configure.
- Go to the Kiosk tab.
- As you select kiosk type, consider:
Type Consideration Reusable kiosk codes
Reusable kiosk codes don't change from 1 round to the next so employees can keep using their unique code on an ongoing basis. You can also regenerate the reusable code for an employee, if needed.
The codes are available for export after selecting reusable codes as the kiosk type in the schedule.
Click Export in the Employees page and select Export kiosk codes to get a list of employee codes for distribution.
To enable local administrators to export kiosk codes, enable the Kiosk codes permission in Access control.
One-time kiosk codes
Each employee can use a unique one-time code that generates for each new survey round. You can download the codes in the Kiosk tab after the survey round opens.
Employee number and first name
Employees log in to the survey using their first name and employee number. The employee number and first name must match the information on the employee record.
- Create a Kiosk URL.
- Set Kiosk device privacy.
Result
If you enable kiosk mode during an open round, employees can use the kiosk URL and authentication method immediately. Any subsequent changes to the kiosk settings are effective immediately.
If you're using multiple survey channels, all employees can use kiosk mode. Employees without email address can only use kiosk mode.
