Prerequisites
Permission: Manage schedules.
Context
When using an automatically recurring survey frequency (instead of the Manual frequency), you can control how often each employee should receive a driver question from each question group. If you need to configure open-ended question frequency, see Set open-ended question frequency.
Question frequency settings work on a per-employee basis, enabling the survey to use the frequency settings to decide when certain questions are due again, for each employee.
Note that if you set question frequency to be more frequent than the survey frequency, the question frequency uses the cadence of the survey as the fallback. Example: If you set driver question frequency to weekly on a monthly survey, the frequency of the driver question will be monthly.
Steps
- Go to Administration > Schedules.
- Open a schedule by clicking View or create a new schedule.
- Go to the Frequency tab.
- Expand a question set. Example: Health & Wellbeing.
- Set the frequency for the main question, drivers, and subdrivers. Example: Quarterly, monthly, and quarterly. As you configure question frequencies, the sidebar adjusts the average number of questions in the survey and provides a recommendation based on your survey frequency.
- Click Save changes.
Result
If you make changes to questions during a live round, the changes will reflect immediately for employees who didn't yet answer the survey.
If you select Always, questions from the question group will display for all eligible employees in the next (or current) survey and subsequent surveys, until you deactivate the question group or change its frequency.
For automatically recurring surveys, the timing of when the question displays can differ from 1 employee to another, depending on when the employee last answered the question.
