How should I interpret the 0-10 scale when answering a survey?
The short answer is: answer in a way that feels most right for you.
Peakon uses NPS methodology to help analyse and interpret the scores, where 0 = 'Not at all', and 10 = 'Absolutely'. Generally the higher end of the scale indicates higher satisfaction, while the middle and lower parts indicate lower satisfaction or dissatisfaction.
When answering a survey question, Peakon recommends you to:
- Keep in mind that your company's goal is to gain meaningful and actionable data that they can use to improve their employee's engagement
- Only provide a score on questions that you have an opinion on and skip any questions that you cannot answer. For example, if you have recently started your employment, and have not yet started thinking about growth and development, you may wish to skip the question and answer it in a future survey instead
- Continuing from the above, if you do not feel you have an opinion on something, please do not score it with a 0 or a 5, as it will bring down the team's score, potentially identifying the specific driver as a concern for the team
Each question on Peakon can be skipped by clicking Skip question.
