A comment can have slight differences in the manager names that display in its manager list. This difference is generally either due to differences between the 2 segment dashboards or due to confidentiality settings.
Background
The comment manager list adapts to the dashboard context that you're in (in the top left corner). Example: If the CEO displays a comment's manager list, it'll display all managers that lead up to the CEO. If a manager displays the same comment's manager list in their own dashboard, it'll display all managers that lead up to themselves.
Additionally, the list won't display the names of managers whose segments haven't met the confidentiality settings that your organization has set. This can change from one segment to another. Generally there are 2 confidentiality based scenarios:
- Too few responses: The manager's segment hasn't met the visibility threshold within the dashboard you're in, because too few of their employees provided a response.
- Too similar to another segment: The manager's segment is too similar to another segment that you can access, with too few unique employees across the 2 similar segments. In such cases, 1 of the 2 similar segments (Example: the manager's segment) won't be visible in your dashboard to avoid deduction of the few unique employees.
In both confidentiality-based scenarios, the manager's name isn't visible in the comments of their direct reports when you display them.
