When configuring your survey, the Frequency tab in your survey schedule displays the average number of questions that each employee will receive in the survey.
Automated frequency
Surveys on an automated frequency (Example: quarterly) distribute questions from the active question and flexibly adapt the distribution to each employee's circumstances.
You can't control the exact number of questions, however you will know the average number of questions based on the way you configure question frequencies.
These factors can influence the number of questions each individual employee receives:
- Whether it's an employee's first or subsequent survey round.
- Question targeting.
- Extreme scores.
- Skipped survey rounds.
See The question rotation algorithm for more information on how Peakon distributes questions in automated surveys.
Manual frequency
Manual frequency surveys ask all active questions to all employees in the same survey round, therefore you control the number of questions by design.
Note that if you're using question targeting to include or exclude certain segments, the number of questions for employees from those segments will differ.
