The number of responses setting controls the minimum number of employees that need to have completed their survey in order for a segment to become available for comparison. To learn more about confidentiality on Peakon, see Data visibility and confidentiality resources.

How it works
This setting works in harmony with the chosen visibility window in the aggregation settings, which is checked during each survey round.
For example if the visibility window is set to 1 year, and Number of responses is set to 5, a segment will only display data if in the last 1 year, 5 or more people have completed a survey at least once.
This means that during each new survey round, old data falls out of the current score while new data comes in. If one of those people stops answering and eventually there are only 4 respondents in a 1 year period, the segment will lose its data visibility.
Example
The marketing team consists of two sub teams: content marketing and community marketing. The manager wishes to view these segments separately in the heat map. The Number of responses has been set to 5.
Segment | Participation | Visibility |
---|---|---|
Total marketing team |
8 employees completed a survey in the visibility period |
✓ |
Content marketing |
5 employees completed a survey in the visibility period |
✓ |
Community marketing |
3 employees completed the survey in the visibility period |
✘ |
In this case it will not be possible to break down the Marketing team using the Community Marketing sub-segment, because there are not enough responses.
Configuration
As with the other data visibility settings, they can be managed by system administrators and will affect all company data.
To set the number of responses:
- Go to Administration > Data settings
- Choose the Data tab
- Set the Number of responses
