Comments are a great way to get context around the scores that leaders can see in the dashboard and they provide employees with a space to share what's on their mind at that exact moment. In this article you will learn how are comments collected, how are the visible in the platform and what leaders can do with them. If you are reviewing your results, see Viewing and exporting comments, for details on how to analyze your written feedback.

Understanding comments
Comments are written feedback that your employees have provided during the survey round. In Peakon they are all treated equally, however some comments may be detected as 'sensitive' due to containing particular keywords that are set for tracking misconduct in your workplace (See Viewing and acting on critical feedback about misconduct to learn more about sensitive comments).
If the access control settings allow, people leaders can acknowledge and initiate conversations with employees from their dashboard.
How are comments collected
When employees take the survey and select a score for a question, they are provided the option of leaving written feedback so they can give more information around the score given for that specific question. Employees can write up to 10000 characters of written feedback for each question.
In Peakon, comments are collected for each specific question answered by round and help generate topics (see About Topics (NLP) and how they work for more information). People leaders who have been granted access to view comments, can access the Comment page and can see comments coming in whenever configured by the administrator.
By default leaders can access comments in real time, however if you have leaders who manage smaller groups of users throughout different continents, we recommend toggling off " Accessing comments in real-time" from the Access control settings for those groups of leaders.
Granting access to viewing and acting on comments
