The first time Peakon sends an employee their survey, without any additional configuration, it is sent at 9AM UTC. After that, Peakon automatically detects that employee's time zone and uses that as a reference for the 9AM send-out time.
In the case of running the survey in multiple time zones (see Running multiple survey schedules simultaneously), updating the time zone on employee records ensures that the first survey is received at the desired time in the employee's respective time zone.
The excel import method can be used to bulk update the time zone field on employee records.
How to import employee time zones
- Go to Administration > Employees > Import
- Download a template of the Excel import file
- Find the column on file called Timezone (the other columns can be removed or kept, as long as the required columns are present: first name, last name, email and/or employee ID)
- Add the region and city name in the cell for each employee, for example, "Europe/London"
