If you have leaders reporting directly into you in Peakon, you will also be able to see the actions that your team leaders have created.
To get visibility, you will need to have your context set to your "All reports" segment when viewing your team's actions.
To access your team leaders actions:
- Click on the Context Switcher button in the top left of your dashboard.
- Select your All reports segment (not Direct reports, if both are present).
- Go to Action Plan.
- Click on My Team Actions
- Now you can see all your team leaders actions.
The reason the actions of leaders reporting into you are presented in your All reports segment, but not the Direct reports segment, is because in the Direct reports segment they are seen as survey participants, while the All reports segment contains your sub-segments that those leaders manage.
Alternatively, you can also view the actions managers have created by changing the dashboard context:
- Click on the Context Switcher button in the top left of your dashboard.
- Search the Manager's name.
- Select the Manager's all reports segment option.
- The dashboard will update with the Manager's view.
- Head to Action plan to see all the set actions and actions of leaders reporting into this Manager (under My Team Actions).
Adding an Action for another manager
If you've reviewed the feedback from a team and you believe the manager has missed an important point, you can also add to the action plan from your end. You will then be the author of the action, but it will sit within that manager's context.
When adding an action to a manager's dashboard, the manager will receive a notification on Peakon. The manager will also be able to view the action either on the relevant dashboard or by clicking into their Action Plan page.
Add an action from your own Action Plan to your team leader:
- Ensure your context is set to your team (all reports)
- Head to Action plan
- Click on My Team Actions
- Identify the manager you want to add an action to
- Click on "+ add action" button next to the name of the manager
Add an action from your team leader's context:
- Click on the Context Switcher button in the top left of your dashboard.
- Search the Manager's name.
- Select the Manager's all reports segment option.
- The dashboard will update with the Manager's view.
- Head to Action plan
- Click on "Add action" button on the top right.
Hierarchical segments
If your organization is using Hierarchical segments, the context of the dashboard will determine which segments appear in the My team actions section when going into the Action Plan page. The child segments will appear under the My team actions. See About attribute hierarchies and how they work for more information.
Scenario:
- Within Hierarchical Segments two attributes are linked to each other: Region & City.
- Your dashboard context is set to the segment "AMER", which is a segments for the Region attribute.
- When you head over to My team actions, all the dashboards for the related "City" attribute segments appear. In this way you can get an overview of any actions added to these "child" segments within the AMER region.
