For the background on Peakon's question sampling and aggregation, please refer to How scores are calculated. For information on data confidentiality, please refer to Data visibility and confidentiality resources.
The score aggregation settings can be found by administrators in the Data Settings area within Administration.
On Peakon, the “Aggregation period” and "Inclusion of former employees" aggregation settings allow for an employee’s most recent survey results to be included in scores. This is especially relevant since Peakon uses question sampling to reduce the amount of questions being asked in surveys running on an automatic frequency mode.
Aggregation period
This setting sets a global window for scores to be considered. Peakon calculates the end-point of the window automatically. This is not measured from today, instead this is set by the last score to any question by any employee. This means the dashboard remains frozen in time when no new surveys occur, and the visibility window only moves forward when a new survey has launched.
See Score aggregation: Aggregation period for further explanation and examples.
Inclusion of former employees
This setting controls how long scores will be retained and aggregated for employees that have left the company. Once an employee leaves, either by setting the separation date or deleting them completely, their most recent scores will still be included for either one, three, or six months from the leaving day or day of deletion.
Similarly as with the previous setting, leaver scores will only be removed from the dashboard when a survey starts and the visibility window moves forward, thus leaving their latest score outside of the chosen timeframe for the Inclusion of former employees setting.
See Score aggregation: Inclusion of former employees for further explanation and examples.
